Mayan Ruins Destroyed

If you haven't heard already, there has been outrage from all corners in Belize, at the destruction of the Noh Mul Mayan Ruins. They were completely demolished in early May to be used as gravel for roads. How upsetting is this? Noh Mul is one of four of the largest Mayan sites in Belize!! And to be destroyed for road gravel? Something that is over 2,000 years old. I can't even wrap my head around the devastation of the Belizean community.
