Belizean Wins World Music Award

In Sevilla, Spain, on the 28th of October 2007 the album by Andy Palacio and the Garifuna Collective received the World Music Award (WOMEX) for Best album of 2007. The album titled WATINA, meaning I called out, is the production and tireless effort of Ivan Duran of Stonetree Records, a small, independent record label based in Belize. The album has been described as,kaisbfd one of the most unusual, intriguing and rewarding musical contributions of the year.
