Mariposa boasts six luxurious individual cabañas with views of either the Maya Mountains or the jungle’s lush flora. Each unit features a handmade thatched roof; canopy beds with customized mattresses and mosquito netting; private screened-in porch with hammock and chairs; fully-screened windows with louvers; purified water cooler; remote-controlled ceiling light and fan. King bed luxury units include an interior sitting area with cushioned furniture, remote-controlled fireplace and mini-refrigerator. This eco-resort is proud that all furniture was made onsite by Mariposa’s amazing staff, using a beautiful array of Belizean hardwoods.

Among Mariposa’s onsite amenities are a pool and hammock palapa, both serviced by the Blue Morpho Cantina, the adjacent outdoor palapa bar offering a full range of standard and tropical beverages. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in and around the main lodge and pool area. Guests also enjoy the private 23-foot jungle bird watching tower, nature trail, Orchid Garden and Hummingbird Haven. Or for a special treat, ask about the availability of the owner’s poolside villa.

To the rear is yet another opening to another bedroom with a queen bed and second bathroom with shower.
