Nestled into the foothills of the Sibun National Forest Reserve in Central Belize, Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge is surrounded by over 100,000 acres of untouched wilderness. It is an ideal retreat for nature lovers wishing to experience the sounds and sights of a tropical rainforest in a tranquil, undisturbed atmosphere.

Built along Margarita Creek, the lodge building’s rustic origins are clearly visible in the locally produced log beams, wood floors and thatch roof. Dining is on the third floor where you will enjoy a variety of home cooked meals, a delicious blend of Belizean, Central and North American cuisine.

We offer a wide range of adventure tours providing you with a perfect blend of adventure, naturalist activities and Belize culture. The lodge provides an ideal place to return to after your tours with a relaxed friendly atmosphere and comfortable air conditioned rooms.

With only 9 guest rooms, Sleeping Giant is an intimate bed and breakfast size resort. We pride ourselves in the personal attention we provide our guests and will strive to make your stay with us a very pleasant respite from everyday life.

Garden View Room

The Garden View Rooms are located on the ground floor of the main lodge building. They are set up with a king size bed. These rooms can also be set up with an option of 2 single beds or two bunk beds on request, sleeping up to four guests.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 persons
Bed Type: 1 King Bed with optional bunk beds or twin beds

Spanish Casitas

The Spanish Casitas are stand alone rooms offering additional interior and exterior space along with additional privacy. They are set up with a king size bed. These rooms can also be set up with an option of 2 single beds or 2 bunk beds on request. The casitas sleep a maximum of four. Choice of creek side or hill view rooms.

Two Bedroom River House

The Two Bedroom River House is located about 100 yards from the main lodge building overlooking the Sibun River. Each room has a queen bed and a bunk bed can be added on each room on request. The master bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub. The rooms share a kitchen, living room and deck. The River House is often rented as a whole by groups or families of four or more.
